Decorate:
Purchase bags from the dollar store that are shaped like purses. These
have been available for quite some time. Fill them with simple floral
arrangements for centerpieces, or you can buy a potted plant to set
down in them. Also arrange old purses on a backdrop such as a lattice
folding screen. They can hang easily by the handles.
Favors:
Take one of the bags and make a photocopy of it. Then downsize it to
a favor cup size. Glue it on to the front a paper favor cup, and fill
the cup with nuts and mints. Very cute!

Speaker:
Speak on the importance of what we carry in our purse in comparison
to our spiritual life. Emphasize the significant things such as a Bible,
a hanky for prayer, and money to give to God. Display two purses—one
with the Bible, etc., and one with only the carnal things as chapstick,
lotion, gum, etc. Relate how our lives can become too cluttered with
the carnal that there is no room for the spiritual.
