Peach Cake

Ingredients:

3 c. chopped peaches, drained (fresh or canned)

1 c. chopped nuts

10 T. melted butter

2 eggs

1 ¾ c. sugar

1 t. salt

 

 

2 c. flour

2 t. baking soda

2 t. vanilla

2 t. cinnamon

2 t. nutmeg

Directions:

Mix all ingredients together. Bake for 45 minutes at 350° in a 9 x 13 pan.

 

Frosting:

1 c. sugar

5 T. flour

1 c. milk

1 stick butter

½ c. shortening

1 t. vanilla

 

Mix together the flour and sugar. Add the milk. Cook until thick, and then chill.

Add the butter, shortening and vanilla and beat until fluffy.
