No list of leadership books would be complete without something by Stephen Covey, who is one of the business world's best selling authors. Some love him (many love him). Some wonder how he has time to think between the books that pour from his desk. Can't argue with success. As with much of Covey's work, it is oft described as "inspirational". |

On Becoming a Leader by Warren G. Bennis
Warren Bennis is another of the venerable gurus, particularly on the issue of leadership. This is probably an essential in any leadership library.

A broad principles based view of leadership (perhaps that's the only way to approach the subject. This book is probably one of the most popular best-sellers on the subject. |
