A Prescription for Living

 

If you want your heart to be healthy for the rest of your life, follow this prescription:

1. Get plenty of exercise.

2. Follow a good diet.

3. Keep your heart clean and drug-free.

People who don't follow this prescription often develop some form of heart disease.

Be heart smart and have a healthy heart.

Have someone speak on the following:

  • Exercise
    • Natural – benefit of walking, lifting weights
    • Spiritual – Walking with God, walking uprightly, Walking to the prayer room, etc. Lifting the weight of sin off our life.
  • Diet
    • Natural – Eating a balanced diet
    • Spiritual – Feasting on God’s Word, (daily Bible reading) Thy Word have I hid in mine heart that I might not sin against thee. Psalm 119:11
  • Drug Free
    • Natural – talk about substance abuse
    • Spiritual – Being free from the drugs of slothfulness, apathy, worldliness, carnality
