Recently there has been an increased interest in Coconut Oil, and you will be amazed at the wide variety of uses for this healthy oil.  We have listed a few below, but I have read of literally hundreds of uses.  You may want to do a Google search of this adaptable oil.

     1. To soothe dry hands – The organic extra virgin coconut oil is a great moisturizer for dry hands.  If you already cook with it, scoop out a little extra for your hands.
     2. As a hair conditioner – Coconut oil penetrates the hair better than mineral oil according to research.  Just apply a small amount to your hair and comb it through before going to bed.  If possible, cover with a shower cap.  Then in the morning shampoo with a gentle cleanser.
     3. All Natural Bug Spray – Combine a half cup of coconut oil with ten drops of tea tree oil in a spray bottle.  Shake well, and then spray directly onto skin to keep bugs at baby.
     4. Soothe Sunburn – Apply the oil to burned skin for relief as often as needed.
     5. Overnight Foot Moisturizer – Massage oil into feet and put on a pair of sock to hydrate dry skin while you sleep.  Your feet will feel soft and smooth in the morning.
     6. Treat Cuts – Apply a small amount of coconut oil to a cut or scrape and surrounding area.  The oil contains antioxidants that help healing.
     7. Stop Split Ends – Minimize the amount of split end by applying the oil to the ends of wet hair.
     8. Natural Deodorant – Apply to underarms as an all-natural alternative to store-bought deodorant.
     9. Use for Sautéing – Coconut oil is great for cooking and can withstand high heat without smoking.
     10. Use for Baking – Coconut oil is a healthier alternative to oils that are typically in baked goods.
