Make Me An Instrument Romans 6:13
|
|
This is an excellent theme for a ladies meeting or for a banquet. Decorations: Place a different musical instrument in the center of each table. We used an accordion, a violin, a saxophone, a drum, a guitar, a trumpet and a clarinet. We made placemats by copying sheet music onto legal size paper. You can also burn the edges of it to make it look old or simply tear the edges. Musical notes confetti can also be scattered on the tables.
Games: Guess the Song Game – This is played by having someone play the first line of a song on the piano. Participants then have to write down the title of the song. It is harder than it sounds!
Musical Instrument Scramble – Scramble the letters of ten or more names of musical instruments.
Devotional: Psalm 148 – Creation is a symphonyTo create a beautiful symphony, instruments need to be tuned. A violin is not very pleasant sounding when out of tune. We also as individuals get out of tune at times. We might resound an irritating screeching sound when we are not in tune with God. Our desire should be to be used of God. Our prayer is Make Me An Instrument. We can be instruments of love, peace, kindness, hospitality, revival, etc. When we make ourselves available to God, He always finds a place to use us! |
