Rainbow of Promises

Food:

Have a potluck dinner. Be sure to have rainbow sherbet for dessert.See who can be most creative in adding rainbow colors to their dishes.

Decorations:

___Use all the colors of the rainbow and accent it with gold. For centerpieces use a small pot with gold chocolate coins.

Favors:

___Give away the gold chocolate coins from the centerpieces.

Game:

The Hunt Is On!

___Supply each guest with a list of small household items that have been “hidden” in plain sight. Instruct them they are to look for the items but not remove them or reveal where they are hidden. They should just simply write down where the item is located. Place the items where nothing needs to be moved to find them. Be clever with the hiding. Example: a straight pin on a silver tray, a brown sock on a table leg, a pin in a corner of a picture frame. The first one to find all the items is declared the winner.

Doorprizes:

___Give Promise Boxes (small boxes with scripture cards). These can be purchased at the Bible Book Store.

Activity:

___Let ladies make a rainbow to take home to remind them that God always keeps His promises. They can be made out of dough, or you can paint plaster ones or the sun catcher ones. There are also plastic canvas ones that you can thread ribbon through.

Share:

___Have some of the ladies share about a promise God gave them personally that they have seen come to pass.

Song:

Every promise in the book is mine.

Every chapter, every verse, every line.

I am trusting in His love divine.

Every promise in the book is mine.

Message:

___Genesis 9:13-17 God Keeps His Promises!

___A rainbow was a sign to Noah and to us that God always keeps His word. Every time we see a rainbow we should be reminded of this promise. God has kept His promises even though Noah has been dead for thousands of years. Whatsoever He has promised to you, will come to pass.
