Reading the Bible Through in a Year |
||
A wonderful New Year’s Resolution would be to decide to read the Bible through in its entirety in a year. I strongly encourage you to do this especially if you have never read the Bible through. As there are 1,189 chapters in the Bible, this sometimes seems overwhelming; however, you can accomplish reading it through in a year by reading less than four chapters a day. There are many methods to use, and I will list some here. You may enjoy reading it from the beginning to the end while others would rather read it in chronological order. It doesn’t matter which approach you use, just READ your Bible! I would love to hear from you when you finish.
Back to the Bible Here is an excellent web site for different ways to read the Bible through. This can be printed for your reading convenience. http://www.backtothebible.org/devotions/bible_guides.htm
One Year Bible Online Their daily reading plan includes passages from the Old Testament, the New Testament, Psalms and Proverbs. It is approximately 15 minutes of reading each day. This can be read directly from your computer. http://www.oneyearbibleonline.com/
Crosswalk Bible Study Tools This site not only provides the daily Bible reading plan, but they will also chart your progress. http://bible.crosswalk.com/BibleInAYear/
One Year Bible Reading Plan This site provides an online calendar with the designated scriptures to be read. http://www.christiananswers.net/q-eden/biblereading-1yr.html
As you can see, there are many helps for reading your Bible through. You may also purchase a One Year Bible at any Bible book store. Read and be blessed!
