God’s Majestic Works

___During our time at the general conference in Salt Lake City we were privileged to take a side trip to Park City, Utah and visit the ski resort. While taking a fifty minute round trip ride on the ski lift, I sat in wonder at the beautiful handiwork of God. The beauty of nature surrounded us, and it was an amazing sight to behold. However that was just a small introduction to God’s handiwork as we soon discovered when we traveled to Sundance, Utah, the area made famous by Robert Redford. I cannot even begin to describe to you the awe that I felt as I viewed the gorgeous mountainside. I had never seen mountains of such beauty. It is no wonder that Mr. Redford purchased the land there to preserve a place of retreat for his family. The 12,000 feet high Mt. Timpanogos were surrounded by whispering pines and idyllic mountain streams and color that had simply been painted by God. There was only one word that came to my mind as I viewed this awesome sight…….majestic!

___In Psalm 145:5 David penned these words, “ I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works.” Then again in verse 12 David referred to “the glorious majesty of his kingdom.” No doubt David had observed and appreciated the work of God’s hands.

___We are so privileged to enjoy what God has created, from the morning sun to the soft light of the moon. The kaleidoscope of color in the variety of flowers and leaves on the trees was put there for us to enjoy. Take a nature walk and form a new appreciation for the beauty that surrounds us!
