Have you ever felt so alone even when mingling in a crowd of people?  Do you suffer from anxiety or depression or just feel that a dark cloud is hanging over your head?  Or how about feelings of low self-esteem and no self-worth?  Have you ever shared your heart with a friend and noticed their mind wandering and their eyes looking past you as though they really didn’t care?  Then this scripture is just for you!  I Peter 5:7, “Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you.”  That happens to be one of my favorite scriptures, and I refer to it frequently.  Why?  Because it is true.  God really does care about you!  He cares about your feelings, your thoughts, your schedule, your situations and all that you go through.  When it seems that no one understands you or cares what is going on in your life, just remember – GOD DOES!

    The first part of this verse is instruction to us.  Cast!  In other words, throw your problem to the Lord.  We tend to carry our problems, hang it on our shoulder, baby it, and constantly refer to it.  When you cast something, it is like throwing it away.  In other words, get rid of it!  Sometimes I like to write down my problem on a piece of paper, and then crumple it and throw it away signifying throwing it to the Lord.

The last part of this scripture is my favorite.  He careth for you!  The ‘eth’ means that it continues on and on forever.  I stand on the Word of God and claim this verse for each of you who are struggling with anxiety or cares of life!  Do you believe the Word?  If your answer is yes, then please apply this verse to your life and reap the benefits of your faith!

You always have a friend in Jesus!  He really cares!
