Angel Food Cake
This recipe was submitted by my friend, Loretta Poling, Greensburg, IN.

 

Low calorie (Diabetic dessert)

 

1 box of Angel food cake mix

1 small box of sugar free instant pudding

(Chocolate is great or flavor of choice)

Small lite cool whip (thawed)

 

Directions:

 

Mix angel food cake as directed on box.

Place wax paper on a cookie sheet (one with sides) or a jelly roll pan.

Pour cake mix on the sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 20 min. (until brown)

Let cool.

 

Mix sugar-free instant pudding with 1½ cups of cold milk.

Mix with wire whisk. Let set in refrigerator until thickened.

Fold pudding into lite cool whip.

 

Cut Angel food cake into 3 or 4 strips.

Place pudding mixture between cake layers.

Spread remaining pudding on the outside of cake for the icing. Refrigerate.
