Christmas Peppermint Bark

Ingredients:

1 pound white candy coating

½ cup peppermint pieces (or finely crushed starlight mints or candy canes)

Directions:

Melt the candy coating very slowly in the microwave. If the candy is melted too fast it will harden. Start with 30 seconds and then stir. Continue heating at 15 second intervals, stirring each time until melted. Add in the peppermint pieces. Stir until combined.

Spread candy thinly out on wax paper on a 11 x 17 area and allow to cool.

Once candy has hardened, break into pieces.


This makes wonderful Christmas gifts. Place in a cellophane bag and tie with Christmas ribbon.
