Microwave Carmel Corn

Ingredients:

 

2 bags plain microwave popcorn

¼ c. light corn syrup

1 cup light brown sugar

1 stick butter

½ t. baking soda

Directions:

Cook microwave popcorn according to directions and then pour it into a large paper grocery bag.

 

In a large microwave container melt butter and then add sugar, corn syrup. Cook for two minutes in microwave, and then take out and stir. Cook two more minutes. Remove and add baking soda. Stir until foamy. Pour mixture over the popcorn mixing well. Fold down the bag and turn upside down. Make sure all the corn is well coated. Put bag in microwave and cook for 1 ½ minutes. Remove and shake bag well. Place back in microwave for 45 seconds. Remove and pour the corn onto a wax paper covered counter. Spread it out and break it apart.

Place in container when cool.
