Salisbury Steak  

 

1 package of crackers, finely crushed, about 1 2/3 cups
2 lbs. Ground beef
½ cup catsup
2 eggs
2 T. grated onions
2 T. chopped parsley
1 t. Worcestershire sauce
2 t. salt
½ t. pepper
½ t. marjoram
½ t. nutmeg
1 can cream of mushroom soup
2 T. butter
1 cup milk
1 T. water
½ t. garlic salt
1 can 4 oz. sliced mushrooms
1 T. chopped pimiento

Combine the first eleven ingredients and mix well.
Shape into 8 oval patties.
Place in shallow baking dish.
Heat soup with butter, milk, water, and garlic salt.
Pour over meat.
Cover and bake at 350° for 40-50 minutes.
In last 10 minutes, add the mushrooms and pimiento.
