Our ladies group is called “HERS” and this stands for an acronym; Helping, Encouraging, Restoring and Serving. At our meetings sometimes I would end with a game, and this is one that the ladies really enjoyed. A few weeks before the meeting I took my digital camera to church and took a mug shot of each lady, asking them to give me a large smile. They did not have any idea what I had in mind but they knew it had something to do with our “HERS” meeting. I loaded the pictures in my photo software and cropped only the smile. |

After I printed each smile, I placed them on a poster board with a number under them. On the back of the poster board was each of the mug shots numbered accordingly with the smiles. I made each lady a sheet with numbers and a line after each number. The object of the game was for them to identify each smile in a designated amount of time and the one with the most correct was the winner. When I turned over the poster board for all to see was when the fun began. This was so challenging that our pastor’s wife ask for it to be posted on the bulletin board so everyone could have a chance to identify the smiles. |
